Neil Pidgeon

Neil Pidgeon

Wills, Probate & Trusts Solicitor and Director (Neil Pidgeon Ltd).

Neil graduated with an honours degree in law at Leeds University and subsequently attended the College of Law at Chester for his solicitors' final examinations .

He then trained with a firm in Nottingham and was admitted as a solicitor in 1983 when he joined Oldham Marsh. He became a partner in Oldham Marsh in 1989. He has specialised in the area of Wills, Probate & Trusts since 1998 as well as dealing with related matters including Powers of Attorney. He is an Inheritance Tax specialist and deals with Inheritance Tax planning.

He lives locally and has various interests including sport, wildlife and walking. Neil also plays golf - supposedly for relaxation!

Mark Shepherd

Mark Shepherd

Property and Commercial Solicitor and Director (Mark Shepherd Limited), Mark qualified in October 1986. He first joined Peter M Cox & Co in Melton Mowbray which later became Page Flavell and was a Partner in that firm from 1995 until the merger of Oldham Marsh and Page Flavell in 2001.

He specialises in the areas of Residential and Commercial Conveyancing, Leasehold transactions and Transfer of Businesses. Mark recently obtained the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Standard for the firm, being number 375 in the whole country to receive it.

Mark is a keen sportsman. For many years he has been the Chairman and an active Coach and Player at Ashby Aztecs Basketball club. He is a lifelong Derby County Fan and season ticket holder and can often been seen swimming in his lunchtimes in the Dalby Road pool.

Kate Gardner

Kate Gardner

Kate is a Residential Conveyancer. She was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2008 as a Fellow and has over 15 years of experience in her field. Kate joined OMPF when we acquired Peter W Marsh & Co

Kate adopts a practical, friendly and efficient approach to all property transactions. She deals with all aspects of domestic conveyancing to include sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfer of equity, new builds, shared ownership.

Out of work Kate enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and walking

Patience Chikaponya

Patience Chikaponya

Patience obtained a LLB Law Degree from De Montfort University in 2013. Patience worked in a conveyancing firm in Leicestershire before joining us in August 2018 as a conveyancer. She has been dealing with domestic property transactions and is familiar with all aspects of Freehold and Leasehold conveyancing matters and issues arising with both registered and unregistered titles. These include the usual sale and purchase transaction together with Transfer of Equity, Shared Ownership Leases, New Builds and Re-Mortgages.

Patience is currently obtaining her Level 6 Diploma in Conveyancing to further advance her specialist knowledge and gain her license.

In her spare time Patience enjoys sports, reading, art and music. She is currently learning to play the keyboard by ear.

Kayleigh Stevens

Kayleigh Stevens

Kayleigh has a bachelor's degree with honours in Law, has completed her Legal Practice Course and is currently a Graduate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Kayleigh specialises in Residential Conveyancing and has 6 years’ experience in this field. Kayleigh currently works on a part time basis.’

In her spare time Kayleigh likes to socialise with friends and family, read books and travel.

Sarah Bufton

Sarah Bufton

Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined OMPF in May 2015. Prior to this, Sarah worked as a family solicitor at a regional niche family law practice where she headed up her own team of solicitors and more recently a large high street practice based in the East Midlands. Sarah undertakes all types of family work including divorce, financial matters, children disputes and co-habitation to name but a few.

 

Sarah is a member of Resolution, which was formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association (SFLA). Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Resolution also campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys visiting her family and friends in Wales and spending time on the family farm.

Robert Cox

Robert Cox

Robert is a Solicitor of nearly 30 years' experience in Litigation including Civil and Commercial Litigation and Personal Injury.

Robert qualified as a solicitor in 1989 after studying at University of Keele (Law and American Studies Joint Honours) and Chester Law College. He trained in Grantham with a long-established firm of Solicitors before qualifying and becoming a Partner in a large regional firm, before moving to Melton Mowbray and joining Oldham Marsh Page Flavell in 2002 as a Solicitor.

Robert has broad experience which means he is able to advise on litigation arising out of many areas of the law including disputes over land, possessions, contracts, wills and inheritance, as well as negligence and personal injury.

Robert is a Scout Leader with over 30 years of experience and previously lectured in Law at Grantham College and for various business initiatives in Lincolnshire.

In his spare time, Robert likes gardening and travelling and visiting historic places. Robert also enjoys spending time with his wife, and family and lately with his new grandchild.

James Bolton

James Bolton

James qualified as a Solicitor in February 2000 having graduated with a Degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. 

 

Before joining Oldham Marsh Page Flavell in 2015, James worked at law firms in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire and specialises in all aspects of Private Client Law including the preparation of Wills, the administration of Estates, Court of Protection Applications, the preparation of Powers of Attorney and the creation and administration of Trusts. James has been a full member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2003. 

 

 

Away from the office James lives with his family in Newark-on-Trent and in his spare time enjoys gardening or working on his allotment.

James Pitts

James Pitts is a Paralegal within our Wills and Probate Department.

James graduated from the University of York in 2016 with an honours degree in law and is currently studying the Legal Practice Course part time at BPP University in Birmingham.

He has been working in our Private Client team since June 2017 and specialises in Wills, Powers of Attorney and Probate.

When James isn’t working or studying, he enjoys going to the gym, travelling, skiing and football.
